For compiling DivFix++ from source you need to wxWidgets 2.8.0 library or newer. Windows users can download ming32 compiled Win32 and ming64 compiled Win64 binaries. This build is compiled with 10.5.6 MacOSX with GCC 4.0.1.

I backed up the AVI just in case, turns out there was no need to, You can d/l DIVfix from the creator's site, run it right off, and it will fix an AVI with bad spots all in 1 swell foop. after fixing the file, everything plays perfectly, the problem is I like to play with windows media player, as it let me bright it up the video. DiVFix lets you watch partially downloaded DivX (AVI) movies. I used it as below to quickly fix an AVI that would just stop at a certain point due to a spot with bad frames: Ok, I have a file that cannot be play, the only way to play is with vlc media player, and when I open the file, it says that vlc need to fix the file. Everyone should have this great, free utility. Try DIVfix, it might not help, but it is free and fast. Hm DivFix (I havent tried the newest version that was recently reported in the Tools section, though) has the site. btw, theres divfix for that OS imitation (and its GPL) see.
i have read the stickys re sync issues but this is all about mpg1 and 2. But as ive never seen any such broken file, it has low priority.

I have a collection of avi files from a tv series, i tried to make the dvd, it processed all ok but when i check it each episode runs out of sync( the original avi files do not).
